Types of materials

Kraft-paper

Kraft is a type of paper ideal for food storage. The ziplock pouches made with kraft paper are usually laminated on the inside with plastic (PET/PE) or aluminium to ensure the food content remains fresh. The surface is also sometimes laminated with a thin layer of plastic (mopp). This makes it water/dirt-resistant and gives it a nice smooth feel.

PlasticĀ

Plastic material the most of which is the combination of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) and Polyethylene (PE), better known as PET/PE. This provides for tough yet flexible material. It is see-through unless customized with a colour. Another equally popular plastic-type is Oriented Polypropylene (OPP).

Aluminium

Usually a combination of materials but with aluminium as the main component. Aluminium provides a very high light, moisture, and gas barrier. Another variation is the VMPET which is PET that has been metalized with aluminium, MET/PET, etc.
